Spiral Sand Classifier

SPIRAL SAND CLASSIFER

The screw classifier is an ideal machine to separate water and other unwanted fines from sand and mineral ores. It consists of a rotating and gently elevating spiral screw in a special designed tub having an inclined trough.

Feed to the classifier, consisting of solids and discharged over weirs. The coarser particles settle at tub bottom. The screw continuously rakes up the clean settled coarser particles. As the material is raked up the inclined trough, excess water is drained back into the tub. The de-watered product is discharged at the upper end of the trough on to a conveyor belt that takes it to storage.

The hydraulic classification barrier between micro-fines and coarser solids can be set to a require mesh, which can be accomplished to a high degree of efficiency by varying the overflow velocity over adjustable weirs and turbulence by spiral shaft speed.

JAI BALAJI Classifier come in a wide range of sizes to cover varied classification requirement and specification, and raking capacities up to 100 TPH, for application in sand preparation and mineral beneficiation plants.

SALIENT FEATURE OF SPIRAL CLASSIFIER

Fabrication And Reinforced Tank Construction With Heavy Gauge Steel.

  • Adjustable weirs for classification control.
  • Heavy duty and large diameter fitted with heavy duty dual roller bearing in a special housing provided with multilayer labyrinth and oil seal protection against ingress of foreign material.
  •  Front end spherical & roller bearing combination assembly in a special housing provided with oil seals against dust in gression.
  • Ruggedly built spiral flights welded to spider arm sand protected by abrasion resistant wear liner segments fastened by counter sunk head bolts; the whole assembly designed for a durable and long life.
  • Hoisting arrangement for lifting spiral assembly on the submerged bearing side to prevent clogging and for periodic inspection.
  • Simple drive train consisting of shaft mounted gear reducer fitted on front end of spiral shaft, V-belts and electric motor
  •  Entire drive and front end bearing assembly mounted on a pivoted base such that the spiral assembly can be raised and lowered.
  • Electronic frequency controller for step less speed variation of spiral rotation, for setting the classification mesh (optional).
  •  A packaged free standing support frame of simple construction and easy installation.
